Every home has its own envelopes.
Bayte keeps every bill, paper and building payment in one place, reminds you in time, and on payday tells you what goes in each envelope. In dollars and lira.
Running a home here takes a drawer full of envelopes and a good memory.
The envelope drawer
Rent, the moteur, school fees: cash in envelopes, and a notebook that never quite adds up.
Papers that expire
The passport, the car's mécanique, the helper's residency. You remember the week after.
Two currencies
Some bills in dollars, some in lira, and you do the sums twice in your head.
The building group
Forty messages later, nobody knows who paid for the stairs light.
Three steps, one afternoon
Sign up with your invitation
Enter the code from your invitation, your name and your email.
Add your family, home and bills
A guided setup walks you through it in about 20 minutes. Skip anything and come back later.
Let reminders and envelopes work for you
Bayte reminds you before things are due, and on payday says how much goes in each envelope.
Everything your home pays for, and when
The basics are free for every family. The money tools come with the Home plan.
What's due, with reminders
Every document, bill and subscription in one list, with a reminder before each one: passports, insurance, the internet, school.
Envelopes and a payday plan
Your bills become envelopes. On each payday Bayte says how much to put aside in each, so nothing catches you short.
Spending
Write down what you spend in a few taps, set weekly targets, and see a short report.
Medical costs and refunds
Keep doctor and pharmacy costs, and follow what the insurance should pay you back.
The Magic list
Paste a list, like the school's book list or a to-buy list, and it becomes a plan with dates and amounts.
Share with your family
Invite your partner to help. Family abroad can follow in view-only, and see only what you allow.
The building's money, clear to every flat
A shared ledger for the committee and the families, instead of a notebook and a group chat.
Dues, confirmed by both sides
A family taps "I paid", the committee confirms. Cash included. No more "I paid you."
Expenses and receipts
Diesel, cleaning, repairs: each expense recorded with its receipt, and the balance always up to date.
Notices and votes
Tell everyone about the water cut, and let the flats vote on painting the stairwell.
Planned repairs
Announce a repair ahead, with each flat's share, so families can put it aside in time.
Built around how things are paid here
Dollars and lira
Every amount in either currency, with totals shown in both.
Whish, OMT and BoB
Keep track of what sits in your wallets and cash at home.
The moteur and EDL
Bills that change every month wait for the real amount.
Rent as you pay it
Every month, or every 3, 6 or 12 months.
Winter diesel
Put a little aside each month before the cold comes.
A live-in helper's papers
Residency, work permit and insurance, each with its reminder.
Your family's information stays yours
No photos of documents
Bayte keeps the dates and numbers that matter, never pictures of your passport or ID.
Family abroad sees only what you allow
Never your loans, cards, incomes or accounts. The money planner stays private to the people you choose.
Bayte never touches your money
It never holds or moves money, and never connects to your bank. It only keeps track.
Two-step sign-in and Face ID
Add an authenticator code, and unlock with Face ID or your fingerprint after a while away.
Kept in the EU
Your data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany.
Good questions, honest answers
Is my data safe?
Your data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt), only the people you invite can see your home, and you can turn on two-step sign-in and Face ID or fingerprint unlock. Bayte never stores photos of your documents.
Does Bayte handle my money?
No. Bayte never holds, moves or receives money, and never connects to your bank. You pay as you always do; Bayte keeps track and reminds you. It gives no financial, legal or medical advice.
Why isn't it on the App Store or Google Play?
Bayte is an installable web app: open bayte.app and add it to your home screen, and it opens like any other app. On iPhone, reminders as notifications need Bayte added to the home screen first.
What if my building isn't on Bayte?
You can use Bayte for your home alone: add the building dues as a bill like any other. When you're ready, invite your committee, and the dues will then come straight from the building.
Is it in Arabic?
Yes. Everything works in Arabic and in English, and each person in the family can choose their own language.
Who can see my information?
Only the people you invite to your home, each with the access you choose. Family abroad sees only what you allow, and never loans, cards, incomes or accounts.
How do I get an invite?
Ask with the form on this page, or ask a family or committee already on Bayte to invite you. Each invitation code opens one account.
What does it cost?
The Free plan stays free. The money tools come with the Home plan, and committees pay per flat. During testing, plans come with your invitation and nothing is charged.
