Planning further ahead
Money coming in, savings goals, big payments, flexible loans and the Magic list plan.
Money you expect, big yearly payments, and saving for what matters.
Money coming in
- Expect a bonus or a refund Under More → Money coming in, tap Add money coming in.
- When it comes Choose what it is (overtime, bonus, commission, medical refund, gift), the amount, and with which payday it comes.
- Use it to get ahead Leave Use it to get ahead on bills on and it goes to the bills due soonest, so your next paydays put aside less.
- Counted in the plan It is counted from the day it comes. When it arrives, Bayte asks you to confirm.
Savings goals
- A goal Under More → Savings goals, tap New goal: what for, how much, by when, and for whom.
- Your goals Goals fill after the bills: bills are always funded first. Here a summer trip for the whole home and a laptop for Mya.
Big payments, and reminders on pay day
- Money set aside Money you already have for bills, not yet in a pouch. The planner suggests how to split it across the bills due soonest.
- Remind me on pay day On any bill, choose On pay day in the reminders: you are reminded the day the salary comes, if the bill is due before the next one.
- What's due, with the planner On the Home plan, What's due starts with the planner: what is short and what the next payday puts into pouches.
- The heavy months The year ahead shows the heavy months. Each big payment already has its pouch, filling a little every payday.
A loan paid back when there is room
- Pay back when there is room A loan from a person (here a friend, Samir) or from your own savings can be paid back Flexible, anytime: choose it under how often you pay. It then has no set payment and no dates, only what is still to pay. The planner shows it under Pay back when there is room and suggests the next payday that leaves money after the bills and your living money (here none has room yet, so it waits). Then tap Pay back some, or Postpone to skip that payday; Suggest the soonest again takes it back.
- Pay back some Type how much you are paying back now and tap Save (the loan's own page has Pay back some too). What is still to pay goes down. Loans from a bank or a company always have set payments.
The Magic list plan
- Got a list? A list from WhatsApp or a note, of things to buy, book or save for? On the planner, the Magic list plan card: tap Plan a list.
- Paste it Paste the list as you got it. Sort it for me (1) sends only this list to the AI helper; nothing else from your home is sent, and names are matched to your family on your phone. Sort it myself (2) uses no AI: one line is one thing.
- Sorted Each thing is sorted: to buy soon, appointments, every month, to save for, jobs, needs a price, already in Bayte. Tap anything to fix its name, its kind or who it is for, then tap Looks right.
- Continue your list The list is saved on your account as you go. Leave any time, and tap Continue your list on the card, on any phone or computer, to carry on from the same place.
- Your money today Check how much of the money you have now is free, and tap That's right. Things due before your next pay come from it.
- One card per thing Then one card per thing: when, about how much (for each person), every month or once, paid with, must happen or can wait, and who sees it on the list. Skip for now leaves it for later.
- See the effect Your next payday before and with the list. If it is short, it says by how much and by when, and shows changes that make it fit (or change dates and amounts on the cards). Tap Save the plan: pouches, monthly bills and price reminders are made in one go, with one Undo for the whole list.
- The list to tick off The list stays on the card. Tick things off as you buy them; the last tick asks what it came to, records the spending and puts what is left back into money set aside. Bayte shows the arithmetic, not financial advice.
