The money planner
A pouch for every bill, and each payday exactly how much goes in each one.
A pouch for every bill, and each payday, exactly how much to put in each one.
Start it
- On the Home plan Once your home is on the Home plan, a card at the top of Home invites you to set up the planner. Tap Set it up.
- How it works Bayte makes a pouch for every bill, paper, loan and building expense it knows. Each payday it tells you how much goes in each pouch, so the money is there when the bill arrives. It never holds or moves your money, and it is private until you share it. Tap Start my planner.
- Where your money comes from Add each income: a salary, freelance work, money from abroad, rent you receive. Give it a name, the amount, how often, the next date and whose it is.
- Both salaries Here Yousif's $1,800 and Mary's $900, both monthly. Tap Next.
- What you live on How much the house spends each week on everyday things: groceries, eating out, fuel and transport, kids… Fill in the ones you know and leave the rest empty. The same amounts are your weekly spending targets (Part 13): one list.
- Everyday living Together they are your everyday living: here $260 a week, about $1,127 a month (a week × 52 ÷ 12). The planner keeps it for you first, a share from each payday, before any pouch.
- Money already put aside Already saved some for a bill? Enter it: here Danu's salary, the generator and the building dues are already set aside. Tap Finish.
- Cash at home Bayte adds Cash at home to your accounts. Tell it how much cash is in the house, envelopes included.

- Your next payday At the top: the next payday and how it splits: into pouches, everyday living, and what is yours to keep. Tap Into pouches to see which bill gets what, or Everyday living to change the weekly amounts.
- Where your money is, and what is short Below: your cash and accounts. If the paydays before a bill cannot cover it, an orange card says by how much and which bill is first. Tap See options.
- A pouch for each person Under the Envelopes card (see below), pouches are grouped in envelopes: one per person (Yousif's loan and insurance, Mary's phone, Mya's school), one per car, and the home's own bills. Each line shows what is in it, its target, and the plan: $150 on 27 Sept and 7 Oct = $300 by 15 Oct.
- Ready, or short A green bar means Ready. Will be short in orange means the planned paydays won't cover it in time.
- One pouch Tap a pouch for its plan, payday by payday, and what goes in and out of it. Open the bill jumps to the bill; Add money records money you put in yourself; Pause stops saving for it for now.
- Pay stub in? If a pay is different this month (overtime, a deduction), tap Pay stub in? Update this payday, choose the payday and type what it really is. The plan changes straight away.
On payday
- Money arrived When the salary lands, tap Money arrived. Choose which income, check the amount and date, and say where it landed (here myBLF+).
- The split Bayte suggests how much goes to each pouch, most urgent first. Change any line if you like; it never lets you split more than arrived. Tap Save the split.
- Next: move the money Pouches kept in envelopes at home need cash: Bayte tells you how much to withdraw and for which bills. When you have done it, tap Done.
- The next payday The planner moves on to the next payday, here Mary's.
Envelopes: where the money goes
- Envelopes After a payday is split, or money set aside is placed, the Envelopes card above the pouches says where that money goes: how much cash into each envelope at home (a person's bills together in their envelope), each wallet (Whish, OMT, BoB) with its bills, and what stays in the bank, each with its total. It is only a reminder. Tap Done on a part, or All done, to put it away.
- Waiting for the bill A bill paid by a wallet is saved up in cash in its envelope. Once it is full and due within a week, the card says Ready to pay: move to Yousif's Whish with the whole amount. A bill that changes, like the generator, waits for the real bill: Waiting for the bill, with what is saved so far. When the bill comes, tap The bill came.
- Type what it came to Type the amount on the bill and tap Save.
- The exact amount to move Bayte now says exactly how much to move to the wallet: Ready to pay: move to Yousif's Whish, $120. Here the bill is less than the $140 saved, so $20 stays in the envelope and goes back to money set aside once the bill is paid. More than the envelope? It says how much more, and Take $X from money set aside adds it in one tap, so it is one trip. Under the bill, Last 3 bills shows what it came to before, and Save up to $X from now on raises what the envelope saves.
