Sign-in & security
- Me Tap Me: your name, appearance, your setup, sign-in & security, medical costs, and your data.
- Verify your phone Under Sign-in & security, enter your Lebanese number and tap Send me a code. Type the code from the SMS and tap Verify.
- Verified If you ever lose access to your email, you can reset your password by SMS.
- Two-factor sign-in For extra safety, tap Turn on two-factor, scan the code with Google or Microsoft Authenticator, and type the 6 digits it shows.
- Recovery codes Keep these codes somewhere safe: each one can turn off two-factor once if you lose your phone.
- Locked after 30 minutes For your safety, Bayte locks after 30 minutes without activity, even when it was closed. A small countdown shows after a quiet minute, or as soon as you switch to another tab or app. Tap anywhere, or I'm here, and it disappears.
- Unlock with the code With two-factor on, a lock screen asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app: tap Carry on and you are back exactly where you were. On a phone or computer with Face ID or a fingerprint reader, Bayte then offers Use Face ID on this device, and next time you unlock with your face or finger; it never leaves the device. Without two-factor, you are signed out and sign in again.
- Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?, then Reset by SMS instead: your number, the code from the SMS, and a new password.
Arabic or English
- Appearance Under Me → Appearance: light or dark, a bigger text size, and the language.
- بالعربية In Arabic the whole app reads right to left, with the same bills and amounts. Each person in the family chooses their own language.
